Tour Itinerary
Day 1 -Perth to Kalbarri
The Perth to Exmouth tour starts at 7:25 am in Perth and travels north along the coast. During the tour, you will have lunch by the Indian Ocean and walk with a tour guide through the intriguing rock formations of the Pinnacles Desert. In the evening, you will pass through Geraldton and spend the night in Kalbarri.

- Driving Distance: 575km.
- Hike Distance: 2km Grade 1-2.
Day 2- Kalbarri to Shark Bay
Today, explore the beautiful Kalbarri National Park. Hike up to Nature’s Window and witness a stunning rock formation. Take the Z Bend trail to Murchinson Gorge for breathtaking park views. In the afternoon, head towards Shark Bay and visit a beach covered with white cockle shells. Tonight, accommodation will be in Monkey Mia.

- Options: Kalbarri Abseiling Z-Bend.
- Driving Distance: 450km.
- Hike Distance: 3km Grade 3-4.
Start the day with adventure by abseiling down the gorge walls in Kalbarri National Park with Kalbarri Abseil. No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided on-site. All equipment was provided also. Get photos on your camera, as guests not participating can take photos for you! This adventure can be organised while on tour.
Day 3 - Monkey Mia to Coral Bay
This morning, you will witness Australia’s well-known wildlife encounter. The Monkey Mia Dolphins swim ashore and are hand-fed in knee-deep water. Afterwards, relax on the stunning coastline before visiting the Stromatilotes. These rock formations were formed by a single-celled organism and are estimated to be 3.7 billion years old. Tonight, you will journey towards Coral Bay and stay overnight by the Ningaloo Reef.

- Hike Distance: 2km Grade 1.
Day 4 - Coral Bay
Explore the Ningaloo Reef in Coral Bay. Snorkel in the turquoise water near the shore. Take a tour to explore offshore reefs. Relax on the beach and enjoy the sun. Travel to Exmouth in the evening.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
- Accom: Potshot Hotel Resort Backpacker Dorms or similar (shared bathroom facilities).
- Options: Swim with Manta Rays, Snorkel Ningaloo Reef, Glass Bottom Boat Tours (Guests are not able to book Whaleshark Swims on this day 4 as they return after the bus has left Coral Bay).
- Driving Distance: 155km Grade 1.

Coral Bay Ecotours offers the opportunity to swim with Manta Rays on the Ningaloo Reef (snorkelling, only for competent swimmers).
Coral Bay Ecotours offers a 5-6 hour tour of the Ningaloo Reef. The tour includes all equipment, such as a wetsuit if needed, morning and afternoon tea and a buffet lunch with cold meats and salads. During the tour, you can witness the graceful movements of manta rays and go snorkelling at 2 different reef locations. You may spot vibrant fish, corals, sea turtles, and reef sharks. Additionally, you’ll visit a turtle sanctuary to observe turtles surfacing for air in the shallows.
Experience a Glass Bottom Boat tour on the Ningaloo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours.
Take a tour of the Ninglaoo Reef with Coral Bay Ecotours. They have a glass bottom boat for you to see the fish and corals. There are three options: 1, 2, or 3 hours. The 1 hour is just a glass viewing. The 2 hours include a glass viewing and a snorkel site. The 3 tours include glass viewing, snorkelling, and a visit to the turtle sanctuary. At the turtle sanctuary, you can watch turtles feeding and coming up for air in the shallows. The skipper will try to get the turtles under the glass for you. Snorkel tours come with equipment.
NOTE: Guests cannot book Whaleshark Swims on [day 4] as they return after the bus has already left Coral Bay. All optional activities in Coral Bay must be finished by 3:45-4:00 pm at the latest.
Day 5 - Exmouth
Today, you will explore Cape Range National Park. You will see rugged limestone ranges, deep canyons, and pristine beaches. During the tour, you will visit Turquoise Bay and Vlamingh Head Lighthouse and relax at the Milyering Visitors Center. The tour will end in the late afternoon, making it an incredible way to conclude your Perth to Exmouth tour.

- Options: Whaleshark (Mar-Sep) or Humpback (Aug-Oct) Swim (pre-booking required).

Whaleshark/Humpback Whale swim (seasonal Mar – Aug) with Exmouth Dive Centre (snorkelling, competent swimmers only)
Join Exmouth Dive Centre for an unforgettable day out on the water. Start the day with a reef snorkel, where you can enjoy the beautiful coral gardens and fish. You may even spot some turtles or reef sharks! Then, they’ll head out in search of humpback whales and whale sharks with the help of a spotter plane. The humpback whale swim depends on the whales’ willingness to be part of the tour. In the event the whales are uncooperative, the plane will search for another group. All equipment is included, as well as a wetsuit if required. Morning and afternoon tea and a buffet-style lunch are supplied.
Day 6 - The tour concludes in Exmouth
Regrettably, your accommodation check-out time is 10:00 am today, so we must say our farewells.
