Tour Itinerary

Starting from Darwin, we head to the WakWak wetlands, an hour away. This area shows the Top End’s beautiful nature. We might see different birds and crocodiles. Then we go to Kakadu National Park, 300 km east of Darwin. We checked into our accommodation and visited the Bowali Visitor Centre to see the park. Next, we go to the East Alligator region for a cultural tour on the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise. We’ll see stories, birds, and maybe crocodiles. We also visit Ubirr Rock to see Aboriginal rock art and watch a stunning sunset. We end the day with dinner at our stay.

We spend the day at the park’s art and cultural centres. They tell stories of the local clans. We walk through Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) to see different art sites. We’ll see beautiful landscapes, hear local stories, and learn about the nature around us. After enjoying another beautiful sunset, we had dinner and rested at our accommodation.

After a slow morning in Kakadu, we drive southwest to Katherine and Nitmiluk. The journey shows us the Northern Australian bush. We might see different wildlife. In Pine Creek, we take a break and can try homemade ice cream. We’ll learn about the area’s history and visit the Pine Creek Museum. In Katherine, we go to Nitmiluk National Park for a cruise in Katherine Gorge. This trip is relaxing and full of history. We return to Katherine for the night.

Day 4: Back to Darwin from Katherine

Our last day starts with a visit to Katherine’s Hot Springs and the Top Didj Gallery. We learn about local art and bushcraft. Then, we head to Edith Falls for a swim and a picnic. In the evening, we go back to Darwin. You can visit the Mindil Markets or just relax, thinking about the trip and the new friends you’ve made.

4 Day Kakadu Tours 4WD Adventure:

$1,950 per person *Twin Share Room

*Solo passengers who book this fare option will be paired in a room with another traveller, where possible, with the same gender but not guaranteed.

Children between 12 and 17 years old must stay in a private room and be accompanied by a legal guardian or adult. Please note that Triple share or family rooms are unavailable, and due to the remote nature of the tour, ensuite facilities are not available at every property.
