Tour Itinerary
Litchfield National Park, located about an hour’s drive from Darwin City, is a renowned attraction known for its stunning natural landscapes, lush rainforests, beautiful waterfalls, and pristine plunge pools.
During the tour, there is an option to visit the Adelaide River, where you can experience the Jumping Crocodile Cruise or visit the Fogg Dam Conservation Centre on the traditional lands of the Limilngan-Wulna people. The centre is known for its diverse wildlife, including various species of birds, turtles, water pythons, and saltwater crocodiles.
We visit century-old monolithic Magnetic Termite Mounds, which are some of the largest in the Top End. We also take a break to swim in Litchfield’s beautiful natural plunge pools, spas, and whirlpools at Buley Rockholes or Wangi Falls.
We then visit one of the beautiful thundering waterfalls at either Florence Falls or Tolmer Falls and admire the stunning beauty carved into the steep rocky escarpment.
After a day of relaxation and adventure in the tropical water wonderland, we return to Darwin feeling refreshed.
Litchfield National Park
Experience the stunning diversity of the Northern Territory by joining us on our one-day Litchfield National Park Tour.
The lands in this area have been significant to the Koongurrukun, Marrannuggu, Werat, and Warray Aboriginal people for thousands of years. The diverse terrain offers pristine rockpools, flowing waterfalls, and a habitat for native birds and other Australian wildlife, making it a great place for photographers.
On this Litchfield day tour, visitors can explore the park’s iconic locations of natural beauty, learn about the historic landscape, and enjoy opportunities to swim in exquisite water pools throughout the area.
Adelaide River
The floodplains of the Adelaide River are home to various species of birdlife from around the globe. Additionally, Black Flying Foxes and Bull Sharks can be observed in this important water system. We embark on a boat ride to encounter the renowned residents of the area, the Saltwater Crocodiles.
Witnessing these apex predators up close in their natural habitat is an unforgettable experience. The spectacle of the crocodile propelling itself out of the water with its powerful tail should not be missed.
Our tours of Litchfield National Park offer the option to exclude the cruise if you have already done it. In that case, you can join your guide to explore the nearby Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve.
